Port reception facilities
Port reception facilities are companies that process chemical and household waste.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has drawn up international regulations for the protection of the maritime environment: The Marpol (Marine Pollution). The Marpol consists of fives annexes:
Annex I: Oil bearing
Annex II: Chemicals in bulk
Annex III: Hazardous substances in packaged form
Annex IV: Sanitary waste
Annex V: Garbage
Amsterdam Seaports has Port reception facilities for annexes I, II and V. On request, one of the companies listed below in the municipality where you are moored will come and collect your waste (see map).
